The brand has been officially on the market since September 2019, but the idea matured much earlier. For almost a year and a half, founders Julian, Fabian and Sven worked on their vision of developing special products for all athletes in the lifting sector. Purely a matter of the heart - the three of them have been best friends since childhood and completed their first training session together around 12 years ago. Their love of lifting was born.
"In a friendship, you often talk about crazy ideas that are usually never realized. With the idea of Lifters Wear and our first grip shirt, however, it was something else - we knew that this was our dream and that we wanted to realize it together."
BUT ALL BEGINNINGS ARE DIFFICULT
Although there are few brands that specialize in the lifting sector, the market entry should not be made with just a simple printed shirt. It had to be something special. After a long search and testing of the ideal fabric composition, the founders Julian, Fabian and Sven finally found the perfect material, which is still wearable after two hours of lifting and provides added value with an integrated grip surface for all bending variations, whether front or back squat, high or low bar, cleans, snatches and bench presses. Everything was 100% self-financed.
“The grip area has been reworked so many times that it's now perfected for lifting.” It offers amazing grip without feeling sticky while still giving you the best support possible. Plus, the shirt just looks higher quality because the material is matte instead of shiny.
The team around the three founders has grown since the early days. Whether it's customer service, marketing, or product management—everyone working at Lifters Wear is completely dedicated to lifting. “We are our own target audience. We know what our customers feel, what's on their minds, and what they're looking for, because we experience the exact same things ourselves.”
New products are also already being planned - with a new team member, the "Lifters Gear" division is about to be released. The aim is to combine all training focuses and create the best possible products for all lifters. In addition to Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the aim is to be able to gradually supply the whole of Europe in the future before finally entering the American market.
